Torture Test
So a huge and horrible terrorist breaks into your home. In a flash you draw your trusty Glock 9mm and order him to stop right there. Osama, believing you to be a chicken hearted infidel son of a camel, gives an ultimatum: In 10 seconds he will kill you, your pregnant wife, your little girl ... and your dog. What will you do?
Tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, 5 seconds left, tick, tick,...
(a) Shoot the SOB
(b) Try to reason with the guy
(c) Nothing
If you are one of those fools who believes that terrorists are subject to the protections of the Geneva Convention, your answer is (c). No mind therapy allowed, just name, rank and serial number. Adios Amigos.
If you are a liberal, you think that everyone has a good side and you feel it's your duty to appeal to his .... Your answer is (b). You will sleep with the fishes.
If you have half a brain and the guts to protect your family, your answer is Hasta La Vista baby: BANG, BANG, BANG, BANG, BANG, BANG, BANG, BANG, click, click..

So, the next terrorist tells you that he has planted a dirty bomb that will blow up a grammar school in one hour. What will you do?

Well, easy decision in light of the condition of our world today. It's unfortunate but I'd go with safety first ask questions later.

Funny how everybody got high centered on the gun and completely missed the real question you posed.
Obviously, any clear thinking American knows you can't wait for the police to come save you and your family from an invader in your own home. We definitely need to be self reliant in order to protect our family.
Back to the question at hand: Terrorist, dirty bomb, school, one hour, and counting...
Even McCain's has agreed that under 'extreme circumstances' torture prohibitions might need to be waived. So he's contradicting himself when he says "torture doesn't work". From my understanding of treatment of POWs in despicable places like the Hanoi Hilton, their torture was intended to be cruel, painful, and entice false admissions to war crimes. That is a very perverse definition of torture.
We need to be able to threaten the most heinous acts upon someone who holds valuable information, if that threat will get them to spill the beans. Passing 'No Torture' legislation unnecessarily ties the hands of our interrogators. The only beneficiaries of this would be our enemies and the ACLU (as they continue to defend killers, thugs and the like).
COME ON WILLIAM BE REASONABLE. DO YOU BELIEVE THE OLD PHRASE " DO UNTO OTHERS AS YOU WOULD OTHERS DO UNTO YOU?" JUSTICE IS ONE OF THE FOUNDING PRICIPLES OF OUR COUNTRY ISN'T IT? OR ARE WE LIKE HITLERS NAZIS?

Yes, Bill, you and I don't blame the world's ills on liberals...it's people that are ruining everything. People of all colors, creeds, political & religious persuasions. It's mankind that's the culprit.
The fate of a society that intends to be civilized (politically correct?)most of the time is that they are usually obliterated by those who are uncivilized most of the time OR those who are civilized enough to fight and die for freedom, imho.
